MOSAIC releases 2020-2021 Annual Report

October 26, 2021

Though impacted by COVID-related restrictions, over the course of this year MOSAIC and its staff have successfully managed to deliver 93% of services online or by phone, and 7% in person — while achieving a 95% client satisfaction rate overall.

MOSAIC’s newly released 2020-2021 annual report not only features a 45-year-history cover story, it includes multiple data points to help share MOSAIC’s story At A Glance.

Some key figures stand out, including:

  • 96% of clients recommend MOSAIC
  • MOSAIC served 16,000+ unique clients from 132 countries
  • 283 volunteers dedicated 6,423 hours of their time to MOSAIC
  • MOSAIC’s 334 staff members supported clients in 37 languages.

Those numbers are just the beginning, and they add up to a series of MOSAIC Moments spanning more than four decades.

As you read through the Annual Report, you’ll find many more that paint a clear picture of the past year – like the fact that 375 refugee claimants facing homelessness found housing with the support of staff in our Family and Settlement programs, or that our Employment, Languages and Social Enterprise programs connected with more than 2,000 community organizations and employers.

“To mark our 45th anniversary, we focus on MOSAIC Moments – the moments that make us who we are as an organization, the moments that have changed the lives of the newcomers we proudly serve, and the moments that touch the hearts of our staff, partners, volunteers and supporters who make our work possible,” said Olga Stachova, Chief Executive Officer of MOSAIC.

“As we celebrate this significant milestone, we reflect on the resilience of our staff and clients in navigating the challenges and uncertainties brought on by COVID-19. I am very proud of the way MOSAIC was able to pivot to a mix of online and in-person service delivery, balancing the need to continue supporting clients with ensuring health and safety for all,” she added.
