FAQ

How the onboarding process works for general volunteers:
  1. Applicants apply through MyImpact Portal (we are currently not receiving any new applications).
  2. Select in the general interests field, which role you might be interested in volunteering in.
  3. Fill out application to the best of your ability. We recommend watching for spelling errors as this part helps us survey for candidates.
  4. Once vacancies are open, we will select candidates based on general interests, skills and experience to interview.

If you do not hear from us within 6 months, your application will be removed from the pool and we kindly ask for you to re-apply. Simply re-log into your MyImpact Account (to those who already have a previous login), to re-submit your application.

Please do not contact us unless it is a response to a volunteer call-out or inquiries regarding a specific position. We will not provide updates regarding your application unless you have been invited to an interview.

I submitted my application but have not heard back. When should I expect a response?

As MOSAIC has a wide variety of programs, for General Volunteers, Volunteer Resources will only reach out to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Vacancy in a program
  • Qualifications match (ex. Language qualification, certifications, etc.)
  • Your general interests (in the application form)

We do not onboard unless a vacancy becomes available. If there is a vacancy in a program of your interest and you have the appropriate qualifications, we may contact you with the following message:

  • Invitation to interview with Program Staff
  • Volunteer Posting and Interests Inquiry

How do I connect with Volunteer Resources?

We kindly request that you only contact us in response to a volunteer call-out. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

What is the minimum age for volunteering?

Individuals seeking to volunteer with the Organization will be 14 years of age or older. Eligible individuals who are below 16 will require parental/guardian consent.

*Each program may have a different age requirement.
