MOSAIC is pleased to announce that CARF has provided service delivery accreditation for another three years (valid until December 31, 2025), following a visit from the accrediting body in May.
This is the fifth consecutive reaccreditation for MOSAIC, an achievement that is an indication of MOSAIC’s commitment and dedication to improving the lives of our clients. The CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) report supports MOSAIC’s continuous improvement cycle and provides a roadmap on areas of focus over the next years.
“Being accredited for a fifth time demonstrates MOSAIC’s ongoing commitment to continuous learning and providing relevant and client-centred services,” said Olga Stachova, MOSAIC CEO. “To our clients, this means they know we are determined to continue our high standard of service, and support immigrants and refugees through effective programs informed by the feedback and voice of our clients. We are proud to share that in a recent survey, 92% of our clients told us they are very satisfied with how MOSAIC has helped.”
In the Accreditation Report, CARF noted many areas of strength within the organization, including:
- “Services are provided by a cadre of caring, competent, and committed staff members who take obvious pride in their work and the many accomplishments of the persons served. The clients from several programs spoke highly of the staff members and the quality of individualized services received. Their comments reflect sincere gratitude for the personalized programs that are tailored to their needs as newcomers to Canada.”
- “The leadership of MOSAIC is driven, visionary, and deeply committed to the mission of the organization. Its board of directors is knowledgeable about governance and how to use procedures and committees to lead the organization in effective ways. The thoughtful approach used by leadership to ensure that all voices are heard and considered before decisions are made makes personnel and persons served feel both included and respected.”
- “MOSAIC is innovative in responding to unmet community needs, frequently developing new and/or piloting programs to fill gaps in service.”
“Congratulations to all MOSAIC staff, especially those out in the frontline who continue on a daily basis to provide the best services possible, and who listen, advocate, and walk alongside our clients,” said Stachova.
CARF accreditation signals a service provider’s commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. While CARF provides a robust set of standards for both client services and organizational effectiveness, it leaves flexibility to organizations to meet the standards in a way that makes operational sense.
Accreditation also demonstrates a provider’s commitment to enhance its performance, manage its risk, and distinguish its service delivery. To learn more, visit carf.org.
