MOSAIC Makes the 2017 list of Best Workplaces for Part-Time Employees

February 15, 2017

MOSAIC is pleased to announce that the organization has been named to the 2017 list of “Best Workplaces for Part-Time Employees”. MOSAIC’s inclusion on this national list came after an independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada and is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about their workplace experience. This honour is in addition to MOSAIC’s recertification as a Great Place to Work, which was announced in November 2016. Thirty-eight percent of MOSAIC’s workforce is made up of staff who work fewer than 35 hours per week.

MOSAIC’s 5-year strategic plan (PDF download) incorporates a specific direction of “Build[ing] a healthy work environment that attracts and retains a workforce committed to excellence.” The organization strives for continuous improvement of its workplace through listening to feedback from employees and acting on constructive suggestions. MOSAIC believes that a better workplace benefits not only the staff, but also the clients served.

Eyob Naizghi, Executive Director, said, “As MOSAIC is committed to do important work with clients, it is imperative that we strive to create a healthy and safe work environment for our employees who work hard to make a difference in the lives of clients. Quality work is part of the culture, and it is a point of pride in our organization. I’m very proud that our staff consider MOSAIC to be a great workplace.”
