MOSAIC and partners hosted more than 300 seniors at Central Park to commemorate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The June 15th event also served as the launch for the new Chinese Community Response Network, created to address the needs of the largest visible ethnic group in the province.
In addition to the announcement of the new network, events included the sharing of stories about elder abuse, lunch and cultural performances.
MOSAIC Settlement Worker Daisy Au said the event received very positive responses as the message for the new CRN for the Chinese community was widely spread through the Chinese media. Some Chinese media coverage can be viewed below:
