21 East Van Employers Connect With 300 Job Seekers at MOSAIC WorkBC

September 16, 2016

The inaugural East Van Community Job fair, held on Wednesday September 14th, attracted 300 job seekers and 21 employers. Organized by the Vancouver Northeast WorkBC Employment Services Centre, located at the intersection of Commercial and Broadway, the event successfully connected the community to employers in their neighbourhood.

The Rt. Hon Melanie Mark, MLA Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, stopped in to show her support for the community event, and took time to speak with job seekers, employers and centre staff.

The employment centre, operated by MOSAIC in partnership with several other community agencies (Kiwassa, BC Centre for Ability, Frog Hollow, New Start, and Back in Motion) offers free services to all job seekers in East Vancouver.
