Women’s Support Group

Support for Survivors of Violence or Abuse

The MOSAIC Violence Prevention Programs, including the Women’s Support Groups provide, a safe space to share experiences and wisdom while learning with your peers.

We offer monthly and bi-weekly meet-ups over Zoom so you can join us from anywhere. Topics discussed are chosen based on the needs of the group but may include:

  • Boundary setting
  • Better communication skills
  • Healthy relationships
  • Coping skills

Support groups are free to join.

Eligibility

This program is free of charge and open to:

  • Self-identifying women

  • Aged 19+

  • Women of any resident or immigration status

Program Description

Monthly Women’s Group

Join us to talk with other women about relationships, self-care, communication, and personal growth.

Where: Over Zoom and/or In-Person at 5575 Boundary Rd, Vancouver BC, V5R 2P9

When: Last Wednesday of every month

Time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

FAQ

Do you have any requirements for immigration status?

You can access our services irrespective of your immigration status (PR, citizen, international student, work permit holder, refugee claimant, etc.) as long as you are a self-identified woman (aged 19+ years) living in Metro Vancouver Area. 

Is this a drop-in group or a closed group?

We usually have different groups including drop-in and closed groups available for women. Kindly contact stvc@mosaicbc.org for the latest information. 

What are some of the topics that I am going to learn and discuss in this group?

Here are some examples of topics covered in the group sessions. We aim to co-create a safe and welcoming space for women to share and support each other in the group.

  • Self-esteem and self-care
  • Gender stereotyping and social norms
  • Healthy and safe relationships
  • Assertive communication and setting healthy boundaries
