MOSAIC Seniors Club

A social club for immigrant seniors

Are you interested in taking part in your new community? The MOSAIC Seniors Club is for newcomer immigrants,  refugee-immigrants, age 55+, and seniors from all ethnic communities who want group support, learning, and activities.

This Club is a place where you feel part of a community, make new friends and do fun-filled activities in a safe and inclusive environment. Seniors also receive information and resources on government benefits, community support, health-related information and information on Canadian laws and rights.

We provide:

  • Social connection
  • Learning opportunities
  • Community information
  • Settlement counselling and support
  • A safe place to practice English


Join the Seniors Club if you are:

  • Aged 55+
  • Wanting to meet new people

  • A newcomer or refugee-immigrant
  • Wanting to learn about Canadian culture

  • Any background or ethnicity

Program Description

Our senior’s programs include many free activities for you to make new friends, learn new skills, and join community events. Ask us if you need a bus pass or language support to attend these events.

All events are free and class schedules may change.

Available Events and Activities

Class schedules change. Contact us for current schedules.

  • English Conversation Circles. Learn and practice English and share stories. Circles are available for beginner learners.
  • Digital Literacy. Learn basic computer, cellphone, and iPad skills so you can stay in touch with family and friends.
  • Tai Chi and Yoga. Take classes with other seniors for fitness and fun.
  • Knitting Circle. Learn and practice knitting with other seniors in your community. 
  • Field Trips. Visit museums, festivals, gardens and more as a group.
  • Educational Workshops. Useful topics about life in Canada.
  • Seniors Choir. Practice English by learning new songs together. No previous singing or music experience is needed.
  • Peer-led creative and art groups. Discover your inner artists with other seniors.

MOSAIC is a member of BC Association of Community Response Network.

MOSAIC’s activities not only make seniors healthy and happy. They also made me smarter!

MOSAIC is our warm and lovely home and a paradise for our elderly friends. Here we will bloom beautiful colorful clouds every day. I love Seniors Club and choose this place as my home.

We are not lonely anymore. Through these activities, we make so many new friends and know so much more about Canada. Life in Canada becomes more meaningful.
