On June 4th, MOSAIC held its annual VOYAGES Youth Conference in New Westminster. The event took place in recognition of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week supported by the Ministry of Justice. With a focus on youth violence, the event provided information on the impacts of youth violence victimization as well as resources for youth and their families.
Youth participants had the opportunity to learn about how violence impacts victims, their family members, friends and the community at large. Interactive presentation by Yo Bro and the Combined Forced Special Enforcement Unit’s End Gang Life initiative increased awareness on victim issues and the on-site resource gallery provided information on local resources.
