MOSAIC joined the world at Holland Park in celebration of culture, diversity, food and music in the 11th Annual Surrey Fusion Festival on July 21st and 22nd. Team MOSAIC’s maiden participation in the two-day festival was nothing short of eventful and close to 700 visitors visited our booth to engage with staff and participate in booth activities.
The MOSAIC booth visitors ranged from families, youth, seniors, performers in costumes representing their countries of origin, fellow exhibitors and community service providers. Many inquired about organizational services, as well as volunteer opportunities with MOSAIC. And hats off to our vibrant, welcoming volunteers and staff who braved the heat to extend goodwill and cheers to our guests.
The festival is one of the best and biggest outdoor events. It was named ‘Best Festival’ at the regional Canadian Event Industry Awards in 2017, as well as the ‘Best Festival’ at the annual Special Event Magazine Gala Awards competition on January 10, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. The award recognizes the world’s top special events and the hard work of industry professionals who organize them.
2018 was another great success for the festival, truly one of the best multicultural events in Metro Vancouver with over 100,000 attendees. The event featured great local and international performers, six stages including a cooking stage, over 60 pavilions showcasing food from around the world, as well as vendors and an array of other exhibitors with their amazing features and zones!
