Tax season 2025 is here, and for many newcomers, filing taxes in Canada can feel overwhelming. From figuring out which forms to complete to understanding tax credits and deductions, the process can be daunting—especially if you’re navigating it for the first time. But you don’t have to do it alone.
To help eligible individuals file their taxes accurately and stress-free, MOSAIC’s Free Tax Clinic is offering expert assistance at no cost. Designed for Permanent Residents, Protected Persons, and CUAET holders with modest incomes, this annual clinic ensures that those who qualify can meet tax deadlines, maximize their benefits, and avoid common filing mistakes.
Each year, MOSAIC’s Tax Clinic supports community members by clarifying tax obligations, helping them claim eligible benefits, and guiding them through the filing process with confidence. As tax season 2025 begins, the clinic is once again opening its doors to provide this essential community service.
Why this free service is essential for tax season 2025?
For many newcomers, understanding Canada’s tax system is more than just filling out forms—it’s about financial stability. Failing to file taxes properly could mean missing out on essential government benefits. Even worse, errors in tax filings could lead to unnecessary delays, audits, or penalties.
MOSAIC’s Tax Clinic doesn’t just help individuals submit their taxes—it empowers them with financial knowledge. Attendees gain insight into their tax obligations and learn about credits and deductions they might not have known about before. Many may not even realize they are eligible for tax credits, such as the GST/HST credit, Canada Workers Benefit, or climate action incentive payments—all of which can provide crucial financial relief.
