Dr. Arvind Gupta hosts roundtable at MOSAIC HQ

September 14, 2018

Two dozen leaders from the worlds of business, technology, academia and the immigrant-serving sector gathered at MOSAIC’s headquarters on September 13th to participate in a roundtable session where expertise and knowledge was exchanged regarding the relationship between digital and data transformation, and opportunities and challenges related to immigrants and their participation in the digital economy.

Hosted by Dr. Arvind Gupta, the Government of Canada’s National Digital and Data Consultations seek to identify bold new ideas to support and drive digital innovation, prepare Canadians for the future of work, and ensure they have public’s trust and confidence in how their data is used.

The Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development has launched this collaborative approach to achieving and building a strong digital future for Canada, stating that the government cannot act alone, but must foster an inclusive approach that will touch upon all sectors of society from the business community to universities and colleges, social entrepreneurs, indigenous leaders, and the not-for-profit sector.

The event was by invitation only, and approximately 10 observers were welcomed at the roundtable as well.
