MOSAIC’s 3rd Annual Job Fair on April 8 was a resounding success with approximately 3500 job seekers turning out to meet 50 employers. It was a very diverse group who showed up at the Croatian Cultural Center in Vancouver as people of all ages, all backgrounds and ethnicities sought employment in areas of Trades and Skills, Finance, IT, Hospitality, Foodservice, Retail, Grocery, Business, Policing, and more showed up for on-the-spot interviews and meetings.”It’s the most successful job fair we’ve had in the 3 years we’ve hosted the event” said Najah Hage, MOSAIC Manager of Employment Programs. “The employment recruiters I spoke with indicated they were very pleased with the turnout and the quality of candidates they met at the fair”.The large turnout attracted some enterprising individuals as well – a food truck parked outside, hoping to attract hungry job seekers: and a candidate running in the next federal election also turned out to meet the crowd coming out of the fair.
