MOSAIC welcomes three new Board members

MOSAIC welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors at the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which took place virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

This brings MOSAIC’s Board of Directors to a full slate of 15 members.

“We look forward to a collaborative and exciting year ahead as each Board member brings their unique perspective and experience to the table,” said Board Chair Dr. Christian Duff.

The new Board members are:

Wyle Byoween – As CEO and Senior Facilitator of HRx, Wyle works with executives, senior leaders and their teams to build diverse and inclusive organizations. Originally from Yemen, he is an engineer who holds an MBA and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Alex Cheong – Alex is an experienced accounting and finance professional with over ten years of public practice experience.  He is currently an Associate Director, Inspections at CPAB, an Instructor for various professional education programs, and an MBA Candidate at the University of British Columbia.

Fadi Yachoua – Fadi Yachoua is a principal lawyer and co-founder of Embarkation Law Corporation in Vancouver where he practices Canadian immigration, refugee and citizenship law. He immigrated to Canada about 20 years ago, has lived, studied and worked in different cities across the country, which gives him a personal and intimate understanding of the challenges and benefits of immigrating and establishing a new life in Canada.

“We are deeply grateful to our Board of Directors for volunteering their time, expertise, and dedication towards a common goal of furthering the success and sense of belonging of newcomers and individuals from diverse backgrounds in our society,” said CEO Olga Stachova.
