CBC News Vancouver – More Recent Canadian Immigrants Are Settling for Jobs Unrelated to Fields They Spent Years Studying or Training For

Bismah Mughal from CBC News Vancouver interviewed MOSAIC CEO Olga Stachova for a CBC Radio segment about a recent Statistics Canada report showing that core-aged recent immigrants are more likely to work in jobs unrelated to their education or training (21.2%) than Canadian-born workers (15.2%).

Olga noted that a lack of Canadian work experience remains one of the key barriers newcomers face when trying to find employment aligned with their qualifications.
