15 Years of Empowering Immigrant Professionals: IPC 2025 Returns

October 2, 2025

MOSAIC will host the 15th annual Immigrant Professionals Conference (IPC) on November 1, 2025, at UBC Robson Square, marking 15 years of supporting immigrant professionals in their Canadian career journeys.

This milestone year carries the theme “Embracing Change and Building Resilience,” a timely focus for newcomers navigating a shifting labour market. Setting the tone for the day will be keynote speaker Ajay Patel, President and CEO of Vancouver Community College (VCC). Patel’s own path from Fiji to East Vancouver to his leadership role today reflects resilience as a racialized person and with a hearing disability, offering delegates both inspiration and practical insights.

Since 2010, IPC has welcomed more than 6,000 professionals, connected thousands of participants with industry leaders and peers, and created a platform for career growth and community building.

A Community for Growth and Connection

For immigrants building their careers in Canada, IPC has always been more than a one-day event.

“IPC is not just an event, it’s a community,” says Olga Stachova, CEO of MOSAIC. “For 15 years, we’ve been equipping immigrant professionals with knowledge, networks, and confidence to succeed in their Canadian careers. This milestone year reminds us of the talent and resilience newcomers bring to our economy and society.”

The conference is designed as a professional development platform: a space to learn about labour market trends, sharpen skills, and connect with peers and employers in meaningful ways. Over the years, participants have turned to IPC not just for career advice but for confidence and community.

Fifteen Years of Impact

The impact is best captured in the words of a past attendee: “When I attended IPC 2 years ago, I was doubting myself and felt stuck. Hearing the resilience of other immigrant professionals reminded me I wasn’t alone. IPC is not only about career growth, but also about finding encouragement and community.”

Stories like this are reflected in IPC’s record:

  • 6,000+ registrants and about 3,000 active attendees.
  • 60 breakout sessions and 42 plenary presentations.
  • 182 exhibitors during the 2021 virtual edition.
  • A consistently skilled audience — in 2024, 96% of attendees held a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

These outcomes underline IPC’s role as a trusted platform for immigrant professionals to gain knowledge, networks, and career-building tools.

What to Expect in 2025

Building on this history, IPC 2025 promises a day of inspiration and practical learning, with

  • Dynamic keynote and plenary sessions featuring thought leaders.
  • Practical breakout workshops tailored to immigrant professionals.
  • An employer panel offering insights from hiring leaders.
  • Exhibitor opportunities to connect with organizations directly,
  • Networking opportunities designed to spark meaningful connections.

At IPC 2024, more than 80% of delegates rated the overall program excellent or very good, underscoring the conference’s lasting impact.
