On September 24, MOSAIC’s Center for Diversity at our Boundary location hosted an Indigenous Business Fair, bringing together Indigenous entrepreneurs, community members, and MOSAIC staff for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and community engagement.
Showcasing Indigenous-led businesses
The event featured 11 Indigenous vendors, creating a welcoming space for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products, services, and businesses. We were delighted to welcome more than 150 attendees, making the fair a vibrant gathering filled with conversations, connections, and opportunities to learn about and support Indigenous-led businesses.
Throughout the afternoon, vendors had the opportunity to connect with community members, build relationships with fellow entrepreneurs, and introduce their work to a broader audience. Many vendors shared their appreciation for the opportunity to participate and for having a space where their businesses and entrepreneurial journeys could be celebrated and supported.
Why supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs matters
MOSAIC staff and volunteers also played an important role in making the event possible, helping support vendors, welcome attendees, and create a warm and engaging environment for everyone who joined us. The strong participation and enthusiasm from the community reflected the importance of creating opportunities that foster inclusion, entrepreneurship, and meaningful connections.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all 11 Indigenous vendors, 150+ attendees, volunteers, and MOSAIC staff who contributed to the success of the Indigenous Business Fair. Your participation and support helped make the event a memorable celebration of Indigenous entrepreneurship and community.
We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to create spaces that uplift Indigenous entrepreneurs, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the diverse talents and contributions within our communities.
