Burnaby Now – ‘Connect, contribute, and thrive’: Language centre for newcomers opens in Burnaby’s biggest mall

Lauren Vanderdeen for Burnaby Now writes, “MOSAIC is celebrating a grand opening in Burnaby as its language centre has moved from Brentwood to Metrotown mall. The settlement non-profit said the new school marks the expansion of its services to support newcomers to Canada, according to a press release.

“This new space is wonderfully accessible, in the heart of Burnaby where newcomers can easily reach us,” said MOSAIC CEO Olga Stachova in the release. “And most importantly, it is part of a welcoming and supportive community of businesses, services, and community organizations.”

The Metrotown location offers “LINC” classes (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada), IELTS testing and affordably priced English classes for temporary residents.”
