Why Should We All Care About the Election?

Who Can Vote in Canada’s Federal Election?
Here’s who is eligible to vote in the upcoming federal election in Canada:
- Canadian citizens

Here’s what you can expect:
Vote Pop-Up
Date: Wednesday, April 16
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm (PST)
Location: MOSAIC HQ (5575 Boundary Road, Vancouver)
This event provides an immersive, hands-on introduction to the voting process within a realistic and supportive setting. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Practice marking and submitting a sample ballot
- See how polling stations are set up
- Learn what ID you need to bring
- Ask questions about what happens on election day
Whether you’re voting for the first time or just want to feel more comfortable with the process, this drop-in event is designed to equip you with the knowledge you need. No registration needed—just drop by!
Elections Canada Workshop
Date: Thursday, April 17
Time: 5:00 – 7:00 pm (PST)
Location: Online on Zoom (link will be provided upon registration)
This engaging and informative workshop is designed to prepare you to actively participate in Canada’s democratic process. You’ll learn:
- Who is eligible to vote in Canada
- How to register and check your voter information
- What identification to bring with you
- How to vote in person or by mail
- What to expect at your polling place
This is a perfect session if you’re new to voting or haven’t participated in a federal election before. Our team will address common concerns, so you leave feeling informed and ready.
