We are honoured to welcome Sophie Lui, anchor of Global News at 5 and co‑anchor of Global BC News Hour at 6, as the Master of Ceremonies for Mosaic’s Gala Luncheon. Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Sophie is a proud BCIT Broadcast Journalism graduate and a trusted voice in local news, known for her thoughtful storytelling and deep connection to the community.
Throughout her career, Sophie has received numerous accolades, including a Canadian Screen Award for Best Local Newscast and the Shelley Fralic Award from the Jack Webster Foundation, recognizing her excellence in journalism. Beyond the newsroom, she is actively involved in the community, serving on nonprofit boards and supporting causes that strengthen and uplift British Columbia’s diverse communities. Sophie’s warmth, credibility, and passion for meaningful dialogue make her a perfect host for this special event.
