For Participants – Important announcement

The WorkXP Program regularly screens applications, however, due to the overwhelming interest, applicants will only be accepted when there is a demand of their skills and qualifications from an employer host. In the meantime, we urge all applicants to pursue job search strategies or register with the WorkBC Centre nearest you while waiting to be accepted.

Thank you for your interest in the WorkXP Internship Program. Please ensure that you meet the Eligibility Criteria before completing the Pre-Screening Form. Also be sure to forward your resume to workxp@mosaicbc.org for faster eligibility assessment.

For Internship Hosts (Employers)

As an Internship Host, this program provides funding of $8,000 for every matched participant.

Internships can start any time. Complete the Employer Registration Form or ask us about becoming an Internship Host and schedule an information session at workxp@mosaicbc.org.

FAQ

Are all the internship positions full-time?

Job postings are always dependent on the needs of the Employer. Most matches have been for regular full-time positions, while some have been part-time roles. This has allowed the applicants to focus on further training and reskilling in the same field.

Am I eligible for the WorkXP Program if I have an open work permit?

The WorkXP Program was designed to serve Permanent Residents, new Canadians, and displaced Ukrainians under the CUAET Visa program who have landed in Canada in the last 5 years. Unfortunately, open-work permits are not part of the eligibility criteria.

How long will it take to find an employer for me?

Applicants are only accepted when there is a potential match for them. There is no time frame for a match, so applicants are encouraged to be proactive in their job search in the meantime.

I am an interested employer; how do we determine your candidates are suitable for our job postings?

All applicants (including referrals from our networks) undergo several screening stages, and the WorkXP Team ensures their international work experience aligns with your needs. If you eventually hire one of our candidates, your organization will be entitled to the $ 8,000 incentive.
