The MOSAIC Fast Track to Manufacturing Plus (F2M Plus) Program helps young adults (age 16-29) learn about career options in the manufacturing and trades fields in Canada. After completing the training, you can pursue entry-level employment in manufacturing to gain experience or further your training in your trade of choice through apprenticeship.

  • 3 weeks of paid employment readiness workshops
  • First Aid, WHMIS and other industry certificates
  • Financial support for training, transportation, certification, and equipment

  • Personalized career path plan
  • 3 weeks of paid technical skills training

Eligibility

To join this program, you must be:

  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person (under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27) legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Living in British Columbia
  • Unemployed or precariously employed

  • Not receiving financial supports from another provincially or federally funded labour market program
  • Between 16-29 years old

Program Description

You receive six weeks of training as follows:

Employment Readiness Training (3 weeks)

  • Job search, resume writing, and interview skills
  • Indigenous awareness
  • Canadian workplace culture and communication
  • Intercultural Competency Training

  • Personal goal-setting and decision making
  • Personality dimension
  • Individualized training and career plan

Occupational Skills Training (3 weeks)

  • Health and Safety/Reading Work Orders Schematics and Drawings
  • Production Reports and Quality Assurance

  • WHMIS, Occupational First Aid Level 1 and other industry certificates

Participants also attend guest speaker sessions from Industry experts.
