Building Blocks Vancouver hosted its annual Winter Celebration on November 29th at the beautiful Heritage Hall in Vancouver. Golnar Viziri, coordinator for the program, said it was a “wonderful turn out, despite the cold weather” with more than 200 children and parents attending the event. It was a lively afternoon full of fun activities, photo opportunities with “Mrs. Claus”, a buffet lunch and gift-giving. The program focuses on promoting healthy childhood development for vulnerable first-time parents and a number of attending families received “graduation” certificates at the celebration.
