On Thursday, April 18, 2019, all six Whole Foods Markets in Metro Vancouver held a 5% Community Giving Day in support of Vancouver Farmers Market’s Fresh to Families Fund!
Whole Foods generously donated 5% of net sales on the date to the Fresh to Families Project that MOSAIC’s Building Blocks Vancouver program has been part of for the last three years.
Building Blocks is a healthy eating initiative for low-income, newly arrived refugee and at-risk expectant mothers living in Vancouver and Burnaby.
The Fresh to Families Fund provides access to fresh and locally grown produce and, at the same time, supports the livelihood of BC farmers and producers through increased sales at farmers’ markets.
