“Suit-able Apparel for Men” attires 65 men in professional wear

August 14, 2017

As a recipient organization partner of the Moores Clothing for Men Canadian Suit Drive, MOSAIC and the Vancouver Northeast Employment Services Centre received over 300 pieces of professional clothing for men.

On Friday August 11, MOSAIC and the Vancouver Northeast Employment Services Centre hosted the Suit-able Apparel for Men, an event that distributed the donated and gently used suits and business attire to 65 men transitioning back to the work force. The professional wear will allow the clothing recipients to put their best foot forward and feel confident at their next interview and/or first day at work. Clothing recipients were pleased with their new attire and offered much praise to Moores Clothing for Men for coordinating the campaign and to MOSAIC for hosting the event.

A big thank you to Moores Clothing for Men for hosting the Canadian Suit Drive, to the individuals who generously donated the suits and professional men’s clothing and to all those who helped make the event possible. The Suit-able Apparel for Men event could not have taken place without the support from the staff of MOSAIC’s Employment and Settlement programs as well as the 12 MOSAIC volunteers who generously donated their time to help prepare and host the event.
