Raise Your Hands Against Racism!

March 16, 2016

Raise Your Hands Against Racism, an initiative started by Spice Radio 1200AM and supported by MOSAIC, is inspired by the Hindu Festival of Holi.  This festival heralds the arrival of springtime and fosters a message of unity and forgiveness. To celebrate, everybody throws colours at one another and rejoice regardless of caste, religion or ethnicity. The Raise Your Hands Against Racism campaign challenges everyone to raise their hands, and show that the colour of our skin shouldn’t separate us.MOSAIC is asking staff, stakeholders and the community to participate by taking a selfie – with their hands raised – and posting it to social media with the hashtag #HandsAgainstRacism. Mention @mosaicbc and your selfie will be posted on our FB page!Looking for another way to participate? Bring your family to any one of the locations below on Saturday, March 19, dip your hand in coloured water, imprint it on a giant banner, write a message or just sign your name! The banners will be on display for a few weeks in the community. Click here to learn more!hands against racism
