Nelson Voice – MOSAIC’s Equal Press Project aims to highlight lack of diversity in media outlets

September 24, 2019

Nova Chamberlin, Manager of MOSAIC’s Equal Press project, has authored an op-ed, released from Equal Press, which shares statistics showing a notable lack of diversity in Canadian and American media.  The article states that a culture of “editorial staff in North America skewing largely white and male” has contributed to an op-ed being published by the Vancouver Sun and the Province on September 6.

MOSAIC’s Equal Press project is a research and advocacy initiative that works to promote diversity and inclusion in news media. The project is in its third and final year.
