MOSAIC welcomes David Lee as the new Director of Employment, Language, and Social Enterprise (ELSE). With more than 15 years of experience in the non-profit, private and public sectors, Lee’s career has had a particular focus on social services and non-profit housing that will inform his approach to this role.
“I am excited about joining an organization and sector that provides support for newcomers and opportunities for people to contribute directly to making our communities more inclusive. I’m looking forward to finding opportunities to continue to build connections across teams, organizations, sectors and cultures,” said Lee.
Lee’s previous work involved engaging people and organizations across three levels of government, local businesses, and the non-profit sector, and he holds a Master of Business Administration from UBC’s Sauder School of Business.

As the son of immigrant parents from South Korea, Lee saw and heard the challenges they faced in having their foreign credentials recognized, improving their English, integrating into a new culture and providing for a young family. This provided him with first-hand experience of the importance of the support, services and connection that MOSAIC provides to advance an inclusive and thriving Canada.
Within the ELSE department, he looks forward to growing existing programs and services while pursuing new and innovative opportunities.
“I am hoping to build on the energy and dedication of the ELSE department and create an environment where we can continue to find ways to create even more opportunities for the people we serve. It’s important to me that everyone on the team can see and feel the value and contribution that each of us brings to achieve our shared vision and mission.”
