MOSAIC paid tribute to 38 staff members for milestone anniversaries at the annual Employee Recognition Ceremony on March 8th. One hundred and fifty MOSAIC staff from all departments, and varying locations across Metro Vancouver showed up at Diamond Hall to celebrate their colleagues’ years of service. Executive Director Eyob Naizghi hosted the event, with Board Chairperson Dr. Mehran Kiai making introductory remarks.
Staff members were recognized for a total of 350 years of service through different categories. Two dozen staff were celebrated for five years of service; four staff for 10 years; four staff for 15 years; four staff for 20 years; and two staff for 25 years of service. After the recognition ceremony, all staff members were encouraged to participate in some lively dance activities organized by MOSAIC’s Wellness Committee.
Carolina Martinez, HR Manager, said that she was very pleased with the staff participation and outcome of the event. “It’s important to recognize and honour significant achievements within the organization. Thanks to the members of our Social Committee for taking time from their daily tasks to meet, bring ideas and take on extra responsibilities – it really helped to make this event a great success!”
