It was a busy and eventful day at the Filipino Fiesta for Team MOSAIC last Sunday, August the 10th. Visitors came in droves to Memorial South Park at 41st and Ross Street in Vancouver to take in the festivities and enjoy the summer weather.The MOSAIC booth was busy as visitors lined up to to take a spin on our Wheel of Treats and giveaways included MOSAIC bags, fans and tattoos, courtesy of Settlement and Family Services, as well as MEPS water bottles, pens, and key chains as well as a basket of goodies which was raffled on in the afternoon.People of all ages and ethnicities attended the event at and staff and volunteers provided valuable information about our programs and services.There was lots of interest in employment programs, and information on settlement services for arriving families and friends. Former MOSAIC clients stopped by and expressed sincere gratitude for the help they received in the past with one lady expressing that she would not have been able to begin her successful career as office administrator had it not been for the extensive job search assistance she received from MOSAIC!All in all, it was a great summer event enjoyed by a great turnout as well as MOSAIC staff and volunteers.
