May 30th was a beautiful sunny day for the Collingwood Days Festival as a mix of families, seniors and newcomers came out to enjoy the music, activities and booths at the event which took place on the grounds of Carleton Elementary School.MOSAIC was a bronze level sponsor for the event and had one table catering to services for newcomers, and a second table to provide information about the NorthEast WorkBC Employment Centre.Event organizer Maria Poe took to the stage numerous times throughout the day to engage festival goers with interactive questions regarding employment and settlement. Volunteers were given prizes for their participation.In addition to providing information about MOSAIC and WorkBC services and programs, the organization also welcomed kids with balloons and a chance to make their own buttons. A prize wheel and a chance to win a gift basket also drew a crowd and ensured a lineup throughout the day.
