The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, visited a seniors conversation circle at MOSAIC headquarters on Nov. 29th. The Minister was in Vancouver to talk about the Fall Economic Statement, which includes funding for seniors, that was released in November.
The Seniors group was delighted with the visit and peppered Garneau with questions about his experiences in space after he told them that he was Canada’s first astronaut. Garneau shared that he brought jazz and classical music with him on his space odyssey, saying that “classical music makes space even more amazing”. He advised the group not to bring jazz to space!
