Grade 3 Student Fundraises $730 for MOSAIC Refugee Projects

May 2, 2017

Zoe, a grade three student, recently took on a community project with the help of her family and raised $730 to support MOSAIC’s work with refugees. She wrote us a very simple but powerful note (see below).

We are deeply touched that this young member of our community recognized the need to support newcomers to Canada and took the initiative to put together a yard sale to support MOSAIC’s work. Beyond supporting MOSAIC, this donation is a wonderful showing of support for refugees and other newcomers in general. We are humbled by the work of this young student, and by her desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Donations of all sizes play a crucial role in helping MOSAIC’s refugee settlement support services. Through donations and support, you can directly impact the lives of refugees arriving in Canada and help reunify families who are trying to bring family members from refugee camps into Canada.
