The mother of murder victim Marissa Shen has requested an interpreter in order to help her follow the court proceedings in the upcoming trial of the accused murderer. Ninu Kang, Director of Communications, talked to The Canadian Press about the importance of interpreters for victims of crime, and why professionally accredited interpreters are needed in that role.
