The Fraser Works Co-operative, co-founded by MOSAIC, has been named a 2015 Non Profit of the Year by the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce. The Co-op received one of the Chamber’s Platinum Awards in recognition of outstanding efforts and achievement in business and of longstanding and thoughtful commitments to the New Westminster community.Fraser Works operates the WorkBC Employment Services Centre in New Westminster. MOSAIC, along with AWARE, Pacific Community Resources Society and Fraserside Community Services founded the Co-op in 2012 to provide employment services to job seekers and employers in New Westminster and Eastern Burnaby.WorkBC Centres provide career guidance, job search workshops, funding for training, placement services and a fully staffed and equipped Resource Centre with free internet access for the unemployed and those working less than 20 hours a week.Congratulations to the staff and Board of Fraser Works for this big win!
