Over $2,000 were raised through the sale of artwork, in support of the David Suzuki Foundation at BURGEON, a 3-day environmental art exhibition which ran May 22-24. The gallery was organized by Young Artists in Action, a group of immigrant youth working in conjunction with staff from MOSAIC’s Settlement & Integration Program, who provided skills building and connected the youth to the David Suzuki Foundation, and to Emily Carr University, who donated space at their Concourse Gallery. Students and their families were delighted by David Suzuki’s attendance at the event.
