A black-tie event was put together by the collaborative efforts of the Arab Students Association at UBC, the International Relations Students Association (IRSA), STAND UBC, and the UBC Social Justice Centre. The Syrian Refugee Benefit Gala offered guests a three-course meal, music, entertainment and guest speakers who provided insights into the refugee situation. All proceeds were donated to MOSAIC! Many thanks to everyone involved in creating this successful event; the funds will greatly help MOSAIC in our work assisting immigrants and refugees with their settlement and integration needs.
