DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand that drew 1300+ audience members\, the musical theatre production “Seniors Take on Things We Never Talk About” returns this August to Main Stage at the Anvil Centre theatre in New Westminster!  \nThrough a unique blend of humour\, music\, and heartfelt storytelling\, this production explores aging stereotypes\, elder abuse\, and the power of connection—challenging societal perceptions while celebrating the strength\, resilience\, and wisdom of seniors. \nPerformance Dates: \n\nJuly 21st\, 2026: 1:30-3:00 PM\nJuly 22nd\, 2026: 6:30-8:00 PM\n📍 Venue: Anvil Centre Theatre\, 777 Columbia Street\, New Westminster\n\nAdmission is FREE\, but seats are limited! Register now to secure your spot! \nThis captivating performance\, supported by generous community sponsors\, honours the diverse experiences of immigrant seniors. During an intense six-month period\, the cast of senior performers mastered an original script\, learned original songs\, perfected dance steps\, and navigated stage production challenges. Despite anxiety and language barriers\, their commitment has been inspiring. The 2024-2025 season received rave reviews\, with audiences finding it thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.  \nIn our musical theatre performance\, you are invited to consider:  \n\nHave you ever felt lonely or isolated from your loved ones?\nHow do you feel about being treated as if you’re incapable of understanding?\nWhat are your thoughts on seniors dating and finding love?\nHow do you cope with difficult realities?\n\nThese performances aim to amplify the voices\, experiences\, and wisdom of immigrant seniors.
